This informal, relaxed and inclusive art session is for 16+ upwards with moderate/severe learning disabilities. Each month the sessions are themed and may include mosaic, painting, arts and crafts – something for everyone. Ticket holders work on their own individual pieces to take home. The sessions are run by our qualified art teacher with lots of experience, including teaching and working with people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
All ticket holders must be accompanied and remain on site but parents, keyworkers and carers are welcome to join in to provide support in this activity or relax in the OSO café depending on the needs of the young person. There is a short tea break during the session – the OSO Café will be open serving drinks and snacks. Carers tickets are FREE and also need to be booked at the same time as the young person’s ticket.

LIVE MUSIC CONCERT – 27th NOVEMBER 2016
A live, fun interactive music concert for young people with disabilities for ages 11 upwards at the OSO Arts Centre in Barnes, London SW13 0LF. All ticket holders must be accompanied and remain on site and parents, keyworkers and carers are encouraged to join in!
Carers tickets are FREE (maximum of 2 per booking) and also need to be booked at the same time as the young person’s ticket. The Café will be open for lunch from 12:00 onwards, where you can buy delicious food and drink or bring your own packed lunch (no nuts please!) if preferred.
The performance will start at 12:45 and finish at 14.00. (Please arrive by 12:30 if you are not coming for lunch).

INTERACTIVE MUSIC CLUB (0-11 YRS) – 23rd OCTOBER 2016

A fun interactive drumming session to explore rhythms using percussion instruments for children with disabilities for ages 0-11yrs. All ticket holders must be accompanied and remain on site and parents, key workers and carers are encouraged to join in! Siblings are welcome.
Carers tickets are FREE (maximum of 2 per booking) and need to be booked at the same time as the young person’s ticket. Tickets holders are welcome to stay for lunch from 12:30 onwards, where you can buy delicious food and drink at the OSO Café or bring your own packed lunch (no nuts please!). SUNDAY RAMBLE & CAFÉ – 23rd OCTOBER 2016
Sunday 23rd October 2016, 2.30pm – 4.00pm
A lovely, inclusive walk, with a chance to make new friends and socialise in the fresh air whilst enjoying some gentle exercise and perhaps spot some local wildlife!
We meet outside the OSO Arts Centre in Barnes and walk for about 45 minutes across Barnes Common, around Barnes Pond and back to the OSO again. Whenever possible, the pace and length of the walks are adjusted to meet the needs of the group each time and for new people joining. The route, times and location may vary each month.
On return there is an opportunity to meet up in the OSO café and enjoy some well earned refreshments. The walks are led by The Environment Trust. Ticket holders must be accompanied at all times. Carers are free. Meet time 2.15pm

Shown in Screen 2 at the Olympic Cinema in Barnes where you can relax with drinks and snacks on reclining seats in luxurious surroundings. Every film is held as a sensory screening – the lights are on, but dimmed low. The sound is quieter at the start of the film and gradually increases during the movie, but is still below the standard volume for mainstream audiences. People are free to move around and come in and out. We select movies which appeal to old and young audiences alike, which typically involve music and well known songs. All events are open to people with disabilities of all abilities, their families, additional carers and key workers. Please be careful to select the correct number and type of ticket at the time of booking where 1 carer can go FREE.
